These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, enquiries, and experiences provided by Shamrock Escapes (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or participating in an experience, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Shamrock Escapes

Shamrock Escapes provides private boat and leisure experiences in the UK, primarily on the River Thames.

2. Bookings & Enquiries

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
• A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received and confirmation has been provided in writing (email, message, or invoice).
• The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions.

3. Payments

• A deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than the day before the experience begins.
• Failure to pay the remaining balance by the required time may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.
• Once full payment has been made, bookings are considered final.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations by You

• All cancellations must be made in writing.
• Deposits are non-refundable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Cancellations made after full payment has been taken may not be eligible for a refund.
• No refunds will be given for late arrival, early termination of the experience, or non-attendance.

Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to:

• Unsafe weather or river conditions
• Mechanical or safety issues
• Instructions from river or maritime authorities
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Where possible, a reschedule or refund will be offered at our discretion.

5. Weather & River Conditions

All experiences are subject to weather and river conditions.

The skipper’s decision regarding safety is final.

Poor weather does not automatically mean cancellation, but safety will always take priority.

6. Safety & Conduct

• All guests must follow safety instructions provided by the skipper or crew.
• Lifejackets and safety equipment must be worn when instructed.
• Unsafe, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

We reserve the right to terminate the experience without refund if behaviour is deemed unsafe or non-compliant.

7. Alcohol & Substances

• Responsible alcohol consumption may be permitted unless otherwise stated.
• Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
• Excessive intoxication may result in refusal of boarding or early termination of the experience without refund.

8. Health & Fitness

By participating, you confirm that you and your guests are medically fit to take part.

Please notify us in advance of any relevant medical conditions or mobility concerns.

9. Liability

• Participation is at your own risk.
• We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onboard.
• We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.

10. Damage

You may be held responsible for any damage caused to the vessel, its equipment, or fittings by you or your guests.

11. Photography & Filming

• Photos or videos may be taken during experiences for promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing before the experience.
• Any filming, live streaming, or content creation for commercial or social media use must be agreed in advance.

12. Delays & Timings

We are not responsible for delays caused by river traffic, locks, weather, or other external factors.

Experience durations may vary slightly for safety or operational reasons.

13. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for services provided by third parties introduced during an experience, including catering, entertainment, or photographers.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version published on our website at the time of booking will apply.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
